Installation

Three ways to install AlgoLab. Pick the one that fits.

Option 1 — Pre-built binary (recommended)

The simplest method. No Python install required.

Linux (Debian / Ubuntu)

  1. Download algolab_0.1.0_amd64.deb from the GitHub Releases.
  2. Install the package:
sudo dpkg -i ~/Downloads/algolab_0.1.0_amd64.deb
algolab -c 'Variable x : Entier Debut x <- 42 Ecrire x Fin'

Windows

  1. Download algolab-windows.exe from the Releases.
  2. Put it in C:\AlgoLab\ (or any folder you like).
  3. To use it from anywhere, add that folder to your PATH.

macOS

chmod +x ~/Downloads/algolab
sudo mv ~/Downloads/algolab /usr/local/bin/
algolab -c 'Variable x : Entier Debut x <- 42 Ecrire x Fin'

macOS note: if Gatekeeper blocks execution, go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy → "Allow anyway".

Option 2 — With pip

If Python (≥ 3.9) is installed:

pip install git+https://github.com/adandeigor/AlgoLab.git

Verification

algolab examples/hello_world.algo
Bonjour le monde !
